About me

Hi there! Welcome to busolasfaithblog! I am thrilled that you are checking out my blog site.

I am Adebusola (call me Ade) Ajibade, born in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to the US as a teenage college student in 1997. My faith journey as a born again Christian started in the US. Along the way, I have experienced some bumps in the road, major road hazards, pie-in-your-face moments that called for deep repentance and confessions. All in all, I thank God that He has never let me go. I am proud to say that I was lost and now I am saved by His grace, I am a Christ ambassador, and a Citizen of heaven living it out to the fullest here on earth. It’s been an exciting journey to explore God’s perfect design for me as a woman, wife, mother, career professional, church goer and worker, and as a citizen of the world, through the eyes of pure, perfect and infallible Word of God.

The first time the Holy Spirit whispered the idea of this blog to me was in December 2018 right after we returned from a family vacation in Nassau, Bahamas. I turned around (with an attitude of course) and responded, “Who’re you talking to?” “Me?” “Start blogging?” “Nah.” I thought this must be some kinda wild joke. I mean, my life is busy enough. I am married with 3 active boys, working full time, and I sometimes feel like my life is some kind of runaway speed train akin to that old Demi Moore movie “Speed.” If you know anything about the Holy Spirit, you’ll know He’s a man on a mission. Come January 2019, He comes right back in that still, small voice and reminds me to go start a blog. Now there was no where to turn.

Here we are. I invite you on this faith blogging journey with me. My least intention is to project an impression that I have it all figured out. Rather, I will share raw truths from the scriptures and my life experiences with you as led by the Holy Spirit. I hope my blogs provoke you to think about how you can be a light to the world as a follower of Jesus Christ. I invite you to deliberate with me and pour out your heart as well. I pray that the wisdom that flows from my heart to you will encourage you, challenge you and inspire your to live a Christ-centered life, as an unashamed believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ. My motto on this blog is “work it out!

*Philippians 2:12

NKJV …work out your own salvation with fear and trembling

AMP …continue to work out your salvation [that is, cultivate it, bring it to full effect, actively pursue spiritual maturity] with awe-inspired fear and trembling [using serious caution and critical self-evaluation to avoid anything that might offend God or discredit the name of Christ].
